(no subject)

...Отовариваюсь какой-то компьютерной мелочью в магазинчике "Mac Everything" неподалёку - типичный Mom & Pop shop. Продавщица веселится вовсю :) Я там постоянно что-то беру, и при расчёте карточкой она всегда требует ID (паспорт) - а то мало ли, украл. Вчера зашёл, а паспорта с собой нет.

- Well, you won't ask me for my ID again, will you?
- Ah, It's OK. I kinda know you.
- No wonder, I've bought half of your shop!
- Just buy another half and I'll call you Boss :)

...покупаю футлярчик для айпода одной крайне готичной подруге. Сложно выбрать, советуюсь:

- Well, you know, it needs to be stylish, that's the main thing. It's for a girl. Also, attachable - she always loses everything.
- Stylish *AND* functional. That's tough. Like this? (показывает какой-то)
- Nah. I don't think she's gonna like it. It's not "girly", you know. (сомневаюсь)
- Hard to choose for another person, eh? Especially a girl.
- Oh yeah.
- That's why you need girls with masculine preferences. :)

Выбрали вроде подходящий, чёрненький с карабинчиком. Она:

- OK, this one looks girly, and has a carabiner. Would it be pink, it'd be perfect.
- Oh no. She's all gothic.
- Oh! So black is *THE* color.
- Yeah.
- And the carabiner is cool! Buy her a dog collar (ошейник) and attach it.
- She has a collar, you know. She *IS* gothic.
- Wow, nice! Then let her just carry it on her neck. (пристраивает к шее, как собачью медаль) "Call me iPod".
